I am very vocal on my feelings towards Ally Musika as a writer for Entourage. In my opinion, she pretty much ruined season6(being head writer for that season).
I was already weary going into last nights episode when I read that she was the writer for episode 2. BUT, last nights episode was amazing! I loved last nights episode. Love it! Its everything I was hoping for since Entourage came back onto the air.
Here's a brief summary, Vince new attitude - and new look - after his near-death experience causes a public relations crisis for his career. In the midst of a big meeting over the NFL TV rights, Ari attempts to fix the problem. Luckily, agent Lizzie Grant (Autumn Reeser) is there to take some heat off of him, but indirectly lands him in more trouble. Drama continues to panic over finding a job, so Eric offers to go through scripts with him. Turtle learns that someone charged $10,000 on his corporate credit card, and Alex is the main suspect.
Here's what I loved
Vince - I love where Vince's character is going this year, by the end of the season I predict him becoming addicted to pain killers or just an adrenalin junkie...hell, I think he's going to become Hollywoods new bad boy...or an actor who doesn't give a shit what the studios think(he's been like that in the past, but I expect it to go even further). The haircut looks great on Vince. We've seen the new hairstyle from set pics posted earlier in the year. Its great to see Vince being a focus of the show, or having a relevant storyline which is something that was missing in season 6.
E & Drama - I've been mentioning this to my friends for awhile, E & Drama need more screen time together. Since Vince's career is already set in stone, I want E to work with Drama, an actor whose been struggling to stay afloat in Hollywood. We'll really get to see more of E as an entertainment manager. E's had it pretty easy with managing Vince's career, the guy was a hot item who everyone wanted to work with since day 1. Drama will be a different story, he's neurotic, brash, emotional guy whose given his all yet still comes up short in life. Something we can all relate to.
Turtle - I'm glad they wrapped up the "Who charged the credit card", its a common sitcom plot device and I'm hoping it will be the last we see of it.
Ari - New interesting story arc! I love seeing Ari at work, when he's really working and struggling for something. Its a lot better than the Ari is supreme master of the universe and gets everything easily. Although, I am a little hesitant with the Lizzy angle. I really don't want an Andrew Klien Part II.
What did you guys think? Enjoy it?
